Normal deliveries and collections of mail should be made in all parts of the North of England today.
Last night a vehicle travelling from the National Distribution Centre in Daventry was involved in a minor road traffic accident. All mail on board was transferred on to the North East. However, due to this incident it's possible a small amount of mail posted in other parts of the UK for delivery in the North East of England may arrive later than planned.
Issues at Chester Mail Centre yesterday could mean that not all outbound mail was processed to schedule. As a result some mail posted in the CH, LL and SY postcode areas for delivery in other parts of the UK may be delayed.
Items for which we’ve left a ‘Something for you’ card
Our enquiry offices should be open as normal in all areas, for customers to collect items for which we’ve left a ‘Something for you’ card. Alternatively, you can arrange for us to redeliver your item; the easiest way to do this is via our website at: www.royalmail.com/redelivery.
