When you’re only sending parcels, our International Business Parcels service offers both convenience and value for money with a range of sorting and delivery options to choose from.
What is a parcel?
A parcel (formerly known as a packet) is anything that is:
- over 381 x 305mm in size OR
- over 20mm thick OR
- over 500g in weight.
If what you’re sending is smaller or lighter than this, or you’d like to send other items with your parcels, take a look at our International Business Mail service.
Choose from the options below:
Zero Sort (formerly Unsorted) is designed to save you time and money if you’re prepared to separate your business mail by service speed.
You’ll need to provide us with details about the volume and weight of your daily dispatches and complete the necessary documentation.
- Zero Sort High Volume is an extra option for customers sending bulk postings of at least 1,000 items per mailing. This total can combine UK pre-sorted service and international parcel volumes.
- Zone Sort offers a cost saving option when you separate your mail into European Union and Rest of World.
Max Sort (formerly Destination Sort) offers our best savings for customers willing to sort their mail by destination. A destination being the location where we hand your mail over to the domestic postal authority. You'll need to be spending at least £10,000 per annum across our business services to access Max Sort.
You’ll need to present a minimum bag weight of 1.5kg per destination to use this option.
Print Direct can be used if you’re sending printed matter items (e.g. newspapers, periodicals, books, etc.) to the same address worldwide.
With the exception of Canada, Print Direct can also be used to send non-personalised magnetic media items (e.g. CDs and DVDs) and other items that do not incur duty (e.g. commercial samples, disks etc.), that relate to the printed matter and have been attached to it by the manufacturer or distributor.

Changes to country definition and removal of low volume countries as separate selections
Following changes to our international portfolio on 31 March 2014, we moved to using ISO standards to define our countries as destinations. As a result we have removed any destination that is not a country in its own right from OBA and DMO. We’ve also removed some smaller countries with very low volumes of mail as selections in their own right. These now fall into other country codes. Download a full list of destination changes.
